Kevin Ker’s musical journey is a multifaceted tapestry woven with creativity, collaboration, and boundless passion. In 2009, alongside his lifelong friend Justin Dillon, he founded Future History, a band that would make an indelible impact on the local music scene. Their debut album, featuring the infectious single “Names for Numbers,” garnered widespread acclaim, earning them prestigious features on Alan Cross’ EXPLORE Music and multiple showcases on Edge 102.1.

But Kevin’s musical vision extended beyond the confines of one project. In 2016, he and Justin embarked on a new endeavour, forming the side-project Man Made Forest. The band’s eclectic sound and captivating performances quickly gained traction, leading to appearances at festivals and events across Canada. Their debut album, featured on CBC radio, resonated deeply with critics and fans alike, setting the stage for their eagerly anticipated second record, currently in production.

In June 2018, Kevin embarked on a daring solo project, writing and recording a surprise concept album titled “The Unraveling of the Drifting Cosmonaut” over the course of just two days. With actual audio samples from space woven into its fabric, the album paints a vivid narrative of an astronaut drifting into the unknown, captivating listeners and garnering a dedicated following.

Amidst his work with Future History and Man Made Forest, Kevin’s creative spirit remained restless. In addition to his band performances, Kevin Ker regularly takes to stages across the country, captivating audiences at festivals, pubs, breweries and special events. His solo shows are powerful, leaving a meaningful and lasting impression on those who experience his them firsthand.
